Our Story: A Legacy of Maine-Made Craftsmanship
Our journey began in 1969 when our founders, Lionel "Rod" and Diane Rodrigue, established a local trophy and awards business. Working nights and weekends while Rod taught and coached at the high school and Diane managed the books, they built this enterprise on the foundations of hard work and commitment.
The business quickly evolved. By incorporating services like Chenille letters and felt banners, and leveraging existing stitching capabilities, we naturally expanded into embroidery and screen printing.
The 1970s marked a pivotal moment when we acquired a bag company. This allowed us to begin custom manufacturing our own line of duffel bags. This was a perfectly natural fit, enabling us to offer superior customization by embroidering or screen printing materials before assembly. Over time, we integrated additional in-house capabilities, including tackle twill lettering, appliqué, sublimation printing, and laser cutting, to ensure comprehensive service and control over quality.
Commitment to Quality and Value
When you choose us, you are investing in a product built to last:
- 5-Year Unconditional Guarantee: We stand behind our quality. In the unlikely event of an issue, simply return your bag for a free repair.
- Consistency for Fill-In Orders: Our classic styles and durable fabrics remain consistent over time. This ensures you can easily place "fill-in" orders years later that match your original purchases perfectly.
Every product is meticulously crafted in our facility in Lewiston, Maine. We cut the fabric and webbing in your chosen colors, handle all imprinting and embroidery, then assemble and ship the final product directly to you.
Authentic, American Manufacturing
While trends have shifted over the decades, our core commitment to custom craftsmanship and a dedicated family attitude has never wavered. We are a genuinely Maine Made, America’s Best company.
When you call us, you are speaking directly to the factory, not an intermediary or a distributor of imported, disposable goods. We are proud to employ 18 Mainers who are dedicated to producing great Made in USA products.
Thank you for supporting our American-made tradition.
